Overview
Litigation is a powerful tool for asserting or defending rights, and our approach focuses on using it strategically to advance our clients’ business objectives. When a negotiated or mediated resolution best serves those objectives, we pursue it in a way that protects our clients’ interests while avoiding unnecessary cost and disruption.
Leason Ellis attorneys have extensive experience in various Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) settings, including private mediations arranged through organizations such as Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) and court-organized programs like the Southern District of New York Mediation Program and the Northern District of California’s Early Neutral Evaluation program.
Our litigators regularly negotiate and draft settlement agreements, assignments, and royalty licenses, ensuring that any resolution reflects the full commercial value of the dispute.
Several of our attorneys are involved in court-connected mediation programs and have received mediation training, giving them additional perspective when guiding clients through dispute resolution.
