Overview
Lead trial counsel in a two-week jury trial involving cross patent infringement claims covering multilayer printed circuit boards. Pre-trial, we obtained summary judgment dismissing defendant’s patent infringement counterclaims for no infringement and dismissing defendant’s invalidity defenses to our client’s patents. At trial, we obtained a jury verdict of willful infringement of our client’s patent concerning copper foil laminate technology used in manufacturing multilayer printed circuit boards, and an award of stipulated damages. Post trial, we secured an order finding the case exceptional, and granting treble damages, attorney fees and costs, and a permanent injunction. We also enforced the injunction and obtained sanctions for post injunction sales of infringing product.References
