Overview
Tatsuya Adachi represented a plaintiff software company serving the fashion industry in a complex bet-the-company dispute involving ownership and infringement of software-related copyrights and trademarks, as well as claims for trade secret misappropriation, computer fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and related causes of action. The matter proceeded through extensive fact and expert discovery to a three-week jury trial, which was converted to a bench trial upon the close of evidence by stipulation of the parties. Following trial, the Court found in favor of the plaintiff on eight of eleven causes of action, awarding full or partial relief, and dismissed all counterclaims asserted by the defendants.
