Leason Ellis secured a default judgment awarding $5,051,415.00 in total damages, including $5,051,013.00 in treble damages and $402.00 in costs, in favor of Ghost L.L.C. in a trademark infringement action under the Lanham Act. The case arose from defendants’ unauthorized use of the GHOST mark in connection with a Brooklyn-based gym operating as “Ghost Fitness.” Following the close of discovery, the corporate defendant ceased participating in the litigation, and Leason Ellis successfully moved for entry of default judgment on Ghost L.L.C.’s behalf. The Court entered judgment on all but two counts of the complaint and awarded post-judgment interest. The individual defendant later resolved the matter by stipulating to a permanent injunction, bringing the litigation to a close. Team members include Cameron S. Reuber, Lauren B.
