On January 9th, Melvin Garner spoke at PLI’s “IP Issues in Business Transactions 2017” seminar in New York. He appeared at a session titled: “Case Study: Designing, Creating, and Pruning an IP Portfolio.” Mel and his co-speaker discussed issues including identifying the business case and creating an IP value chain, mining IP as a strategic asset, and how to acquire and sell IP.
