The International Trademark Association (INTA) published its IP Law Firm of the Future Think Tank Report in January 2021. A year later, The Trademark Lawyer magazine sat down with Peter Sloane, who served as a member of the Think Tank, to discuss how its findings have played out. In a wide-ranging interview, Peter discussed the ever-increasing importance of technology in trademark practices, especially during the still ongoing pandemic, and the role that culture plays in balancing the health of the firm. Among other things, Peter highlighted the potential for INTA to help in training law firm associates to mitigate the expense to its law firm members, so that they can continue to meet client expectations to reduce the cost of legal services.
