Yilan Wang

Law Clerk

Yilan is a law clerk in the Trademark and Copyright Practice Group and Litigation Practice Group at Leason Ellis, where she assists clients with intellectual property counseling, litigation, and prosecution. She also supports clients on IP licensing and broader technology transactions.

Yilan’s practice is grounded in her firsthand experience in the entertainment industry, including serving as an executive film producer and working closely with creators, brand owners, investors, and international distributors. She values business-oriented, practical legal solutions that support creative and entrepreneurial growth, and is dedicated to helping clients safeguard their intellectual property rights in a rapidly evolving global marketplace.

Yilan received her LL.M. in Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship from Cornell Law School, and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she earned a certificate in Intellectual Property, Media, and Information Law. She serves as Chair of the Pro Bono Subcommittee for the New York City Bar Association’s Entertainment Law Committee and volunteers with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). Prior to joining Leason Ellis, Yilan worked as an IP associate at a boutique law firm in New York and interned with the Mediation Office of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
