Michelle Levin, Of Counsel in the Trademark Practice Group at Leason Ellis, focuses all on all aspects of domestic and foreign trademark prosecution. Michelle’s experience includes managing international trademark portfolios across a wide array of industries from large international corporations to small family owned businesses. She represents companies across a variety of industries, frequently shifting gears from fashion and cosmetics, to consumer electronics and telecommunications, to publishing and home goods. Her practice focuses on trademark counseling, clearance and international filing as well as matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and contentious matters abroad. In connection with managing and enforcing domestic and international intellectual property portfolios, Michelle works closely with clients in devising strategies for trademark selection, clearance, adoption, use, prosecution, maintenance, management, and enforcement.

Michelle’s interest in intellectual property law began through internships in law school, which sparked a passion for trademark law. Michelle particularly enjoys encountering her client brands in life outside the office and feels a sense of pride in seeing her clients’ ideas becomes successes. She has also taken a role in improving the operations of the firm by assisting with the transition of new practice management software and implementing paperless office procedures. Michelle obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
