He has extensive experience in technology reviews, patentability and freedom to operate opinions, and drafting and prosecuting patent applications for all types of clients, from individual inventors and start-ups to global technology companies. Dexter has experience in a broad range of technologies, including computer and telecommunications networking systems, gaming software and hardware, consumer electronics, medical devices, educational platforms, sound processing, business methods, encryption systems, user interfaces, video and image processing, semiconductor fabrication, and household product innovation and design.
Dexter enjoys learning new technologies from his clients and providing efficient and effective patent procurement services to maximize such technologies’ intellectual property value. Throughout his career, Dexter has helped clients of all sizes obtain strategically important patents and grow their patent portfolios. Prior to joining Leason Ellis, Dexter was an associate at an intellectual property boutique firm in New York City. Before that, he served as a special counsel in the patent department of a national general practice firm.
