Karin Segall represented the successful applicant in Cake Divas v. Charmaine Jones, Opposition No. 91177301, in a decision handed down by the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board on February 23, 2011. In dismissing the opposition, the Board held that the applicant had established a proprietary interest in the mark CAKE DIVA prior to that of opposer.
