2015年9月 22日WORLD TRADEMARK REVIEW BLOG QUOTES KARIN SEGALL ON USPTO PILOT PROGRAM
Karin Segall was quoted on the blog of the World Trademark Review on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s pilot program allowing amendments to identifications of goods and services in trademark registrations due to technology evolution. Under the program, amendment may be possible because evolving technology has changed the manner or medium by which the underlying content or subject matter of the identified products and services are offered for sale or provided to consumers. According to Karin, the program “address[es] an important need to the extent that there are brand owners with older registrations for valuable marks who should not have to re-file to keep those marks registered.”
