Leason Ellis Obtains Dismissal of Patent Infringement Claims

Representing the interest of our client, a manufacturer of outdoor digital displays, who was subject to potential personal liability under an indemnification claim after an asset sale, Leason Ellis appeared as co-counsel in a patent infringement lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. After convincing the plaintiff to voluntarily dismiss most of the claims that related to our client’s products, the lawsuit was settled resulting in a dismissal with prejudice, and we were able to resolve favorably the outstanding indemnity claims.
The Leason Ellis team included partners, Yuval Marcus and Matthew Kaufman, and associate, Lori Cooper. See Manufacturing Resources International, Inc. v. Civiq Smartscapes, LLC et al., Case 1:17-cv-00269-RGA.
