Peter S. Sloane Quoted on Trademark Naming Issues in Pharmaceutical Branding

Peter S. Sloane has been quoted in the February 2009 edition of Envisage Magazine in an article titled “The Name Game.”  The article discusses how as the number of available biopharmaceutical products continues to proliferate, naming products in development has become a delicate and challenging task.  According to Mr. Sloane, “[a]s more time passes, the U.S. and global trademark registries become more crowded” and pharmaceutical companies are increasingly filing drug names to be used in clinical trials.
