Tatsuya Adachi

アソシエイト

Tatsuya Adachi is a trial lawyer skilled in litigating intellectual property disputes concerning copyrights and trademarks. Tatsuya’s approach to litigation is tactical, based on the view that well timed procedural maneuvers and effective case management can influence the outcome of a case well beyond the merits of a claim or defense. Tatsuya’s approach to client representation is empathetic and commercially focused. He doesn’t litigate a case in a vacuum. He views the case as a means to achieve a client’s business goals. Outside the courtroom, Tatsuya leverages his intellectual property expertise to counsel clients in connection with IP protection strategies, IP transactions, including acquisitions and licensing, and online liability issues, including those relating to the use of third-party content, user generated content, and intermediary liability.

Tatsuya is a former professional singer whose legal acumen is complemented by his passion for the arts and, more broadly, creativity and innovation. Super Lawyers® has named Tatsuya to its Rising Stars list every year since 2021. Tatsuya is a member of the Associate Board of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing pro bono legal services and legal education to individuals and organizations in the arts community. Tatsuya earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal and received a Jacob Burns Medal. He received his B.A. from Skidmore College.
