Lauren B. Emerson to Speak at NYIPLA Bootcamp

Leason Ellis Partner Lauren B. Emerson will be one of four esteemed speakers in the Copyright, Trademarks & Fashion session of the IP Transactions Bootcamp held by the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA), taking place virtually from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm on October 8, 2024. Lauren will be joined by speakers Kathleen E. McCarthy, Partner at King & Spalding LLP, and David Eshmoili, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at David Yurman, with attorney Cheryl Wang moderating the session. The Copyright, Trademarks & Fashion session addresses critical trademark and copyright issues that professionals must consider when negotiating agreements like licenses, assignments, and co-branding ventures. As co-chair of the Trademark and Copyright Practice Group at Leason Ellis, Lauren’s experience will provide fellow professionals with valuable guidance on navigating these complex transactions to effectively protect and leverage intellectual property. The IP Transactions Bootcamp will be held virtually over three evenings on October 8th, 15th, and 22nd. Each session will feature interactive opportunities for attendees, as well as the chance to network with peers and earn CLE credits.
