Toys “R” Us, Inc. v. Step Two, S.A., 318 F.3d 446 (3rd Cir. 2003)
Paul Fields argued a successful appeal in a trademark case brought by Toys "R" Us against a Spanish corporation for maintaining an infringing website. In reversing the decision of the District Court dismissing the case for lack of personal jurisdiction, the Court of Appeals held, inter alia, that plaintiff was entitled to jurisdictional discovery with regard to defendant's business activities in the United States.
